So I decided to buy a French-style butter bell, so I could keep my butter out rather than in the fridge where it gets rock hard and unspreadable and picks up all kinds of odors.

After searching about a bit, I ordered from Clay Coyote in Minnesota.

I absolutely love it. This is one of my best Internet purchases ever. The pottery is really gorgeous -- I got the "Yellow Salt" glaze -- and it is very functional. And the price was very reasonable for a beautiful piece of handmade pottery.

I recently got one of these, too...the "Butter Bell" brand by Tremain. In fact, thanks to a sale, I got two-for-one and gave the other one as a gift. It's really cool to have soft butter, all the time. I'm hooked.

I have the same one you have- I lucked out & found it brand new at Good Will right after the holidays. I guess someone else didn't appreciate their gift, but I sure do. I keep a small, Amish hand carved, wooden butter spatula with mine that I picked up at a local shop.
