Sunday brunch at Bacchus...Richmond, VA...very good

Today, Dh and I tried the brunch at Bacchus on Main. It's a nice change from the usual brunch fare and was well executed. They also take reservations, which is a plus. Dh had a mimosa and I had a Bloody Mary and it was so good, I had two. Just the right amount of spice and very flavorful.

For entrees, Dh had a frittata with black olives, tomatoes and feta with a side of breakfast potatoes and sausage. I had the eggs carbonara with potatoes and a side of asparagus. Both were very good. The eggs in mine were scrambled very softly with bacon and cream and just melted in my mouth. Even thought they were very soft they were completely cooked (I have a thing about undercooked eggs....eeewww). A slightly (but not too) sweet cornbread was served also. We are looking forward to a return visit to try some of the other fare, such as the variations on polenta.

  1. Great to know as we are always looking for a new good brunch place. How were the prices?

Very reasonable. I think my eggs were $7 with the potatoes and the add-on of asparagus was $2. Dh's was about the same.
