That seems completely unlikely. You can, however, hire them to come to your party, not cook and sign their books.

They're having a book signing at the restaurant with some food. Not sure of the date at the moment.

The one-day reopening is Saturday, April 26th. See the press release at the Uglesich website: http://www.uglesichs.com/ Carefully timed to coincide with Jazz Fest, I'm sure.

It was interesting to see Lauren Gaudin's comments about this. She seems to think this is just some sort of publicity stunt put on by the son.

Of course it's a publicity event (stunt is such an ugly word). The restaurant is closed, a new cookbook has just come out, and they're going to use a 1-day opening to promote the book. C'est la vie...those who are fans will be thrilled to get an opportunity to visit with the Uglesichs, those who aren't can stay home. I can't say that I'd hire them to plan a party menu and supervise the food production so they could sell cookbooks at my private event (a service described later in the press release), but I can imagine that a corporate event planner/meeting/convention planner might go for this sort of thing.
