Best dinner options Solvang/Buellton dinners
It's been a few years since I've done the Central Coast. In the past, finding a good meal when we stayed in Solvang was challangeing. We will be spending 2 nights in Buellton. and may go out to the old Hitching Post in Casmalia. Does anyone have other suggestions? We usually picnic from Ranchos Market for lunches. Also, we may try the Far Western Tavern in Guadalupe this time. Any suggestions? If we make it to Taco Temple, what is our best bet?
Angelica's in Solvang gets good reviews. My favorite is Grappolo (N. Italian) in Santa Ynez. Far Western has been going more upscale with more finesse in the past few years, but still has the flavor of a local haunt. If you haven't been there, do give it a try. There is a good Japanese restaurant on Ocean a little past the main downtown heading to the ocean in Lompoc. Flower fields in Lompoc could be starting to look good. Check them out.
It's off the beaten path, but Cold Springs Tavern might be an option for you. It's an old stagecoach stop with lots of atmosphere. I've only been on the weekends when they have BBQ outside.
Also, not recommended for dinner, but try Panino's (Pannino's?) for a picnic lunch. They have the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. There are a few of them. I know there's one in Los Olivos, and I think there's one in Solvang.
