More Good Food at Jasmine, Watertown

Did some takeout from Jasmine Taste of Persia in East Watertown this evening. This time, I tried the baba ghannoush (a bit strong, almost harsh, but not bad), the oh-so-smooth hummus (I like it better each time I try it), the beef kubideh rollup (spicy kafta-type beef right off the flames along with tomatoes, onions, lettuce, and tahini), and the baghali polo (an earthy rice dish with lots of dill and a good amount of green lima beans).

I think my favorite item at Jasmine is still the amazing chicken shawarma (the sharp, biting flavor of the spiced, charred chicken is out of this world), but other than perhaps the baba ghannoush, I like everything I've had there so far.

  1. I LOVE Jasmine! My parents order kabob from there all the time. My favorite is the Kabob Bargh (pieces of beef filet). It's interesting that most persians/iranians (myself being one) dont usually order anything but the kabob with rice options. The Mast-o-Musir (yogurt with dried shallots) is great as well.

    Now I wish I had kabob.... :(
