Where can I get rabbit meat in Baltimore?

greglor Mar 21, 2008 12:06 PM

I always cook rabbit on Easter (it's a tradition). In Baltimore, I've always purchased it at the market, but today they said they were out and wouldn't have more until next week. Where do I get rabbit meat in Baltimore? (ideally I'd like 2 rabbits, so I can serve 5 adults)

Thanks in advance.

FYI...if anyone's in Annapolis, the Amish market sells good fresh rabbit.

Several of the stalls in Lexington Market carry fresh rabbit. Faidley's doesn't, although they carry "marsh rabbit" which is muskrat, I think(?)

Springfield Farm usually has it, but I would call to confirm.

If you call in advance, you can order retail here: http://www.fellspointwholesalemeats.com/
I've also seen it at Wegman's at times.

Only "marsh rabbit" (muskrat), I believe. Years ago, several stands in the market sold it.

H-Mart in Catonsville always has rabbit, quail and pheasant.
