Wedding cake - Vietnamese Bakery?

Hi all. I'll be getting married in July up near UCLA and need a delicious bakery for our cake. I had a recommendation for Final Touch out of Orange County (they were only $2/slice and delicious!) but they'll only deliver to a 20 mile radius so I'm unfortunately on the hunt again. I'm not from LA so I'm unfamiliar with everything and I don't have the opportunity to wander around Little Saigon looking for a place. Can you suggest anywhere? We're looking for something that tastes really good and has buttercream frosting that looks really smooth (as if it were fondant) so if you've had a cake like that, please let me know!

They are connected, but I think the OP is looking for something Orange County centric.

I'm looking for something near UCLA or that would deliver to that area. The OC bakeries don't want to travel that far so I need places that aren't in Orange County. I'll check with Van's and see if they'll head to the westside but they may also consider it a hike. Any other suggestions?

There aren't really Vietnamese-owned bakeries or foodshops on the Westside. Will Chinese do? Hing Lung Bakery, on Coldwater Canyon and Sherman Way in North Hollywood, may be willing to deliver to the Westside.

It's going to be hard to find a cake as good as those at Final Touch. Aren't there any vietnamese bakeries in San Gabriel Valley?

They're not likely to deliver to the Westside any more than the Little Saigon bakeries.

Have you thought of having a professional messenger service pick up the cake and deliver it to your reception site? It's pretty easy to get express service between Orange and Los Angeles Counties.

You might check out Angel Maid bakery. I love it, and other people have posted here recently as well.
It's not a vietnamese bakery & it won't be $2/slice, but they should able to do something for $3-4/slice. I got a smaller cake (60-80 ppl) and I think it was about $250 with a 20% surcharge for fresh strawberries.
The bakery is located on the westside (about 5 miles from UCLA). I can't hurt to call & ask about the pricing.
