Opinions of Church Street Pizza in Vienna?

Has anyone been to Church Street Pizzeria in Vienna? It boasts that it has NY style slices. Without getting into the great pizza debate, is the pizza tasty?

  1. I ate there tonight - large pizza with mushrooms. The cheese was decent quality however the tomato sauce was too sparse.

Now I do not like sweet beverages and typically carry my own bike style water bottle which I keep tap water in however I was in a new car today and forgot it. When I requested a small cup for water (tap is at the self serve soda fountain) I was told they only sell bottled water. I will NEVER set foot in this establishment again for that simple reason. I do not buy bottled water in the USA - land of clean and plentiful drinking water.

    1. Went there over the weekend. I had a slice of sausage and onions, and a slice of meatball and onions. The onions were thrown on at last second so they were practically raw. The pizza itself is fairly tasty. It doesn't cost much by the slice so it won't cost you much to try it.

      1. Love Church Street Pizza. I can't say I'm an expert on NY Pizza, being from CA and DC, but I put this on par with the Italian Store in Arlington. IMHO, one of the best in NOVA. Good cheese, good sauce, good crust. My family's go to for take out pizza.
