My Brother and SIL are about to have their first child and love to eat well. Live near five points/inman park, ATL. I'd love to give them a gift certificate to someplace that would deliver them a nice meal after the baby. Maybe even carryout. But has to be great. Any suggestions? Thanks!

  1. Instead of Flowers is a great thing.
The food is not gourmet gourmet but very good.
We were given two meals this past month after a baby and I've given a meal to others as well.

looks interesting. thanks. would still take more ideas though other atlanta-ins (or whatever you're called!). :)

    2. I lived in the Five Points area, but don't know much about nice restaurants that deliver. However, I would like to suggest taking a look at Zifty (www.zifty.com). It's an online food delivery service - you go to the website, type in your zip code, and pick from the selection of dinner menus. The restaurants aren't anything fancy, just basics depending on your zip code like Six Feet Under (fried seafood, burgers, etc.) and Figo (pick whatever sauces/toppings you want on your pasta), etc. It's a little overpriced, but great for when you want something good and basic but don't want to leave the house!
What type of food do they like? Here are some Inman Park places I can think of off the top of my head that I enjoy - Wisteria (neighborhood place with great food) and Sotto Sotto (Italian, sister restaurant to Fritti) - but I don't think they do takeout. Zuma for sushi and Fritti for nicer pizzas - I know they both do take-out.
Depending on what you're looking for, you may want to check on personal chefs in the area.

thanks. may do a selection! also, i guess, anything on the way home from the emory hospital or grady to there. my brother loves to cook but i know he underestimates how tired he too will be in a month when their help leaves...
