re: farmers
I assume the Forest Hill location is the one on Eglinton at Braemar (one block west of Avenue Rd) where 7 numbers used to be. There has been a Wolfgang Puck sign up for a RIDICULOUSLY long time. First it was supposed to be a Wolfgang Puck Express (whatever that it), then the sign changed to Bistro. I'm sure it's been up for at least a year, with no sign of activity/opening at all. For months now, the sign has said "opening spring 2008" but, last I checked, we're into summer and still nothing... I've often wondered what the story is.

re: Popdoggy
I must say I too went to the Las Vegas location of Spago for lunch in the Caesar’s Forum and had an excellent lunch. Was very surprised as I was not expecting much. That said, not holding up tons of hope for these WP locations.
The Eglinton/Ave. Rd sign has been up for a year with zero sign of activity.

re: magic
There's a *wee* bit of difference between Spago (4 in total, destination restaurants in Luxury Resorts) and Wolfgang Puck Bistro (Several locations in upscale areas) and Wolfgang Puck Express (Fast Food/take out, multiple locations including airports)....
I'm interested to see the Bistro concept as it seems to promise seasonal menus based on what is available...

re: chunkeymonkey
I definitely support small local places as much as I can, but the Ave & Eg WP is right around the corner from where I live. Given the relatively few restaurants in the immediate vicinity (if it's at least moderately good) I'll be glad to have another option available when I get home late from work, don't have time to cook, and don't want to travel too far afield to eat. Sometimes convenience wins out over quality.
