i live in Woodley and am on the hunt for the best pancakes or waffles in my region of the district. I don't have a car so i'm not really interested in going to va or glover park.

Thanks hounds!

  1. The Original Pancake House in Bethesda (there is also one in Rockville) is awesome! It's right near the metro and def. worth the trip out to MD with a group of friends on a Saturday or Sunday. The have tons of flavors....pumpkin, apple cinnamon, chocolate chip etc. Just really well made and delicious!

Second OPH. They have HUGE omelettes and great crepes as well.

    2. i wanted to report back from my trip to OPH this past Saturday. All i can say is... THANK YOU. It was DE-LISH. I got their apple cake/pancake special. it was sooooo good. i needed something sweet otherwise i would have gotten one of those omelettes. i'm going to have to go back for one of those soon.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I really need to make a trip back out there...it's been a really long time since I've been there. The pumpkin pancakes and chocolate chip are so good. Plus that place is completly affordable! Mmmmmm now I'm in the mood for pancakes

Gosh, I am craving it now too. Last time I went, I had a veggie omelette. It cam out and it was certainly big enough for 2. Next time SO and I will get 1 order pancakes and 1 of something salty and share.

Glad you liked it! I highly recommend their crepes as well- delish!

        2. so i've decided for my next trip i'm going to ask for the chocolate chip pancakes with the strawberries and whipped cream and then try and get my dining partner to get an omelette and then split the two.

the corned beef hash was really good. and i definitely want to try the eggs benedict/waffles combo.
