Easter Brunch in Nashville
it turns out me and my family will be in Nashville over easter (we are house hunting), and would love to go out for Brunch on Easter. However, it is likely to be very crowded. Any suggestions? I tried Margot's (rec from this board) but they are full. I have read of Monell's here, but is it likely to be swamped? We will be 5.
Also, BBQ?? We were thinking Neely's, should we be thinking elsewhere?
We have never been to any of these places, and Nashville only once.
Cheers and thanks
In my experience, most BBQ places are closed on Sundays in general so not sure how much luck you'll have finding one open on Easter Sunday.
Have you tried Germantown Cafe? They are another great brunch place.....http://www.germantowncafe.com/ Rumours Wine Bar in East Nashville is also serving Easter Brunch and has great food and a really pretty patio if the weather is nice enough (looks like the highs will be in the 50s though, just fyi.) http://www.rumourswinebar.com/ Marche is another option; it's owned by the same people who own Margot Cafe and is a little more casual but still has great food, mimosas, etc. All of these are in the East Nashville/Germantown area http://www.marcheartisanfoods.com/pages/home.html
On the west side of town near Belle Meade, Martha's at the Plantation is another great option and you can walk the grounds of the Belle Meade Mansion, etc. http://www.marthasattheplantation.com/
This should give you a good start; let us know where you end up and good luck house hunting -- welcome to Nashville!
It's probably my favorite of those I listed, so good choice! They bring the most delicious beignet type rolls to the table and the eggs benedict with the steak is delish if you enjoy spicy foods. Their grits are yummy as well. If anyone in the group is a French Onion Soup fan, theirs is some of the best in town. It's a cool neighborhood type place with a great view of downtown. Enjoy!
