RIP Nook Short Ribs :(

I just got an e-mail newsletter from Nook saying they have retired the short ribs from their menu!!! Does anyone know if they have already done this, or is there still time for me to go and gorge myself on short ribs before they're gone? They are still listed on their website menu...

Why would they do this? Am I the only one in love with them (the short ribs, that is)? I can only hope that they mean "retire" like Bill Parcells means retire.

    1. I got the same email, and I am a huge Nook fan and am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. But what worries me is the description of the new pot roast as "surprisingly light," and I want a succulent gravy over mashed potatoes not a grem over fingerlings. I emailed them...

      1. Sigh... I loved their short ribs. Fall off the bone tender and very tasty.

Some excellent short ribs may be found at Josie on Pico in Eastern Santa Monica, at Lucques on Melrose in WeHo, at Celadon on 3rd Street just west of Fairfax and at Wilshire on Wilshire Blvd. in Santa Monica.

        2. I may have waited to long to go try those short ribs....sigh...back in town today and was debating whether to go up there and try them, but I do notice that as of around four this afternoon, it appears that they are no longer on the website, replaced with pot roast....will be looking for updates..
