Looking for chicory coffee

Does anyone know where I can find this in Boston/Somerville/Cambridge? I've called the Stop and Shop on McGrath, Whole Foods at River Street, Shaw's on McGrath -- yes I live in east Somerville (not Chucktown anymore) so nearby is my preference! Whole Foods by MGH has a chicory blend, with some kind of other malt or grain ingredients, but would prefer straight ground chicory coffee. Also, mail order isn't an option.
Thanks!

I buy Cafe du Monde at Ming's in the South End.

You can but Cafe Du Mond at many fully stocked asian markets. They have it at the 88 in South Bay and at Kam Man in Quincy.

They might have it at the Korean market in Union Square. Or at the 88 in Meffa.

I have a friend who loves it and I buy it for her whenever I visit one of the Super 88s. I know I've picked it up in their Allston store and at South Bay.

Slightly off-topic, but would someone explain the nexus between Cafe du Monde coffee and Asian supermarkets. Is chicory coffee common in Asia?

No historic information here, but do note that most Vietnamese coffees are made with chicory. Pho Pasteur in Chinatown makes an especially good one with CDM.

I think it's only common in Vietnam due to the fact that it was a French colony. French cuisine inevitably trickled down.

I coulda sworn I'd seen cans of Cafe du Monde in Whole Foods, but I can't remember which one, as I frequent at least three of their locations.

I remember this because a coworker brought some back from her trip to New Orleans, and I thought to myself "she didn't need to schlep that stuff on the plane, I've seen it for sale at ......(forgot which grocery store) ..... "

I'll keep my eyes peeled for it.

I'm pretty sure Cafe Du Monde is a coffee/chicory blend...the OP wanted straight chicory..

Here's the pics on the website:

Thanks for all the helpful suggestions! I'm testing a recipe for a magazine and have spoken with the editors. Chicory coffee has been so hard to find at mainstream grocery stores that we've altered the recipe to use regular coffee, not chicory.
At least now I know where I can find some!

I think also Market Basket has it.
