Anybody Know Where I can Find a Good Lemon Merangue Pie

Looking to pick up a lemon merangue pie and I just can't seem to find a good one. Prefer a bakery pie over one sold at a supermarket. At one point Harrows in Reading sold them, but not any longer. Anybody know any place in the Burlington area that has them ??

  1. The Cheesecake Factory has a good one.

    1. Sweet Tooth in South Boston. You can call Petsies Pies in Somerville and I think they sometimes make them.

      1. I know High Rise Bakery in Harvard Sq sells them. I got a little one last week for 5 or 6 bucks. It was pretty good, and the meringue was beautiful!

        1. There's a cafe called Pie in Newton Center now, they have pie du jours so you might want to call to see if its available, I think they will make to order as well but obviously they need some notice. and the pie is very good, but it is a little pricey.

Harrows makes great chicken pies, but their dessert pies are awful. I've actually gotten excellent lemon Merengue pies at Whole Foods. There's one in woburn and one in bedford. The crust was thin and flakey.... some bakery pie crusts are thick and almost bready. Its like every bakery makes the same darn crust. Try Whole foods.... it was well liked by the 10 I had for dinner last year.

          2. Thanks for all your input on this. It turns out I bought a very good lemon merangue pie at Roma's Bakery in Woburn square at the reccommendation of my neighbor. Not quite as tart as I prefer, but it drew raves from everyone else on Easter.
