Hello, I'll be driving from LAX to Palm Springs this weekend and I don't know the area. Does anyone have any suggestions for restaurants along the way? Not super casual, not a chain. We'll be taking the I-605, the pomona fwy, and the I-10. Saw a good review for Omakase in Riverside, but they're closed on Sundays. Many thanks for any suggestions.

thank you both. Farm artisan and gourmet pizza shoppe both look good, but since it is easter (I forgot) both are closed. So, we'll try Thai Specialty 2 in Hacienda Heights, which has gotten some chow attention. Thanks for the suggestions.

Well, you'll be driving through the entire LA County. So depending on time of day, you can get pretty every cuisine there is on the face of the earth, no need to go all the way to Riverside, which is out of your way. If you take the 60, you'll go through Hacienda Heights where you can get some excellent Chinese food.

Riverside is off the 60 not the 10.

Redlands has several decent restaurants downtown on State Street. The Farm Artisan Foods and the Gourmet Pizza Shoppe are within a block of each other on State St.

Take the Orange St. exit off the 10 go a block or so straight to Orange St and go right. State St. is four blocks or so up and to the left.
