Dinner in Asheville

My wife and I will be celebrating our anniversary in Asheville tomorrow night (3/20), and have "sunset" reservations at Shoji from 7:00 - 9:00, which means we will need to either eat an early dinner (5:30) or late dinner (9:30). Anyone have some good suggestions in the downtown/Tunnel Rd area??

    I'd do:
Tupelo Honey in downtown (open until midnight) or Zambras - check about a late reservation for 9:45pm or so....others to check might be Chorizo or Modesto. Pick one w/ an active bar (like Zambras) and you'll probably be better off.

If you choose Tupelo Honey, walk down the street to the Thirsty Monk for some of the finest beers anywhere.

Avoid the Tunnel Road area like the plague. At least for food.

      Ditto on The Thirsty Monk.

the only "decent" place on Tunnel Rd. is Cornerstone and its nothing to write home about.

Anyone know how late Bouchon is open? Might be nice to end the evening with some moules frites and a glass of wine. I've always had good food there, and I love the bistro feel of it.

          bouchon closes up pretty early.
