You're right that Muldoon's is nothing special....but compared to Auld Dubliner...it's 3 star Michelin!

Had supper there the other night and the food was very mediocre and the service just ok. This is certainly not a serious restaurant, but more it the pub tradition...i.e., good drink, and passable food if you're really hungry and like overcooked peas. For an Irish pub with much better atmosphere, and way better food, go to Muldoon's in Newport (although don't expect four star food here either, it's still very good).

I was there about 2 weeks ago for lunch - had some really good fish 'n chips and a nicely poured Guinness.

Same as the one in Long Beach (2st location). Have been to private parties at that one and loved the chow they served then, but it differs from their regular menu.

It's decent bar food... Some items are better than others. But all inadequacies seem to be forgotten in haze of Guinness stout.

E - was out in Anaheim and next to the Honda Center there is a group of restaurants. Walked into Auld Irisher (?) Looked just like Auld Dubliner in the District... same restaurant? do you know?

Yep. They're part of the same chain. I think Irisher's newer by a few months.
