Victors Delicatessen Closing March 31

Here's a head's up for the Hollywood Hills crowd. Victors Delicatessen on Franklin and Bronson is closing March 31 so you don't have much time left to partake in their deli sandwiches. Apparently the owner is retiring. Victors Square restaurant next store remains open, but I suspect the Hounds are less interested in that.

At least the sandwiches at the restaurant next door are just as good as those at the deli, so if a sandwich is of interest, then go to the restaurant. Owner was formerly manager/head deli guy at Greenblatt's for about 18 years.
and yes, the end of April is the deli's closing date now.

I wonder if Victor's Square will take to-go orders.

Victors Square Restaurant does take to-go orders and will also deliver. Contact info is on their website, along with menu, at www.VictorsSquare.com They have parking available in the lot on Bronson at Franklin. They are putting in a deli section soon.

That's a shame, although with the horrible parking I don't know how any restaurant on that block survives.

One month reprieve has been granted. They are now closing at the end of April.

The deli's closed. The liquor store remains open until the end of April, although he's not reordering the liquor or wine so the pickings are getting pretty slim.

The restaurant in the adjacent center is staying open.

The liquor store is now closed.

There was talk of a Breadbar or LA Mill going in there, but I see there's a big For Rent sign still in the window.

I just checked with a friend at the Hollywood United Neighborhood Council. She says that the restaurant is remaining open, and that the owners intend to add a deli.

No word as to who's moving into the old deli space, alas.
