What's your Templefood?

I think Nigella's idea of Templefood really encapsulates what we all need sometimes: that dish that soothes both the body and the spirit when we've overindulged and are perhaps a bit down. At this time of year, when it's too late for heavy soups but too early for a nice crunchy salad, I turn to Asian-inspired dishes. Tonight I made a tofu-shiitake soup with cellophane noodles and a ginger-garlic-five spice broth. (The exact recipe is at my blog http://spiceislife.blogspot.com if you're interested). It was satisfying and comforting, but not overwhelming, just what I think Templefood should be.

What is your templefood for those low and overfed times?

Tortellini in Brodo: its satisfying, yet simple. And its always delicious.

A green soup made of spinach and watercress with some leek or garlic- buzzed with immersion blender. A hair's breath of cream or even cottage cheese tucked in to smooth it out at serving time.
