Is this dish available anywhere in the region? Got back from Austin recently and have fallen in love with this wonderful Tex-Mex concoction. For those not in the know, it's basically fried tortilla strips, eggs and chiles (unless, I'm missing something).
I lived in Austin years ago--back in the early-to-mid-1980s. Kirby Lane cafe was a favorite place!
Austin Grill is a local chain, and has sadly gone downhill from its glory days when Ann Cashion worked there, but they do serve migas. In fact, the only thing I order now when I go there are egg dishes.
rio grand cafe in arlington has a brunch dish like this that they call chilaquiles. i haven't had it in a while, but it was delicious:
fwiw, the dinner menu has a great specialty called "guadalajara" with shrimp. the best thing on the menu, imho.
