Anything new and unique in South Austin?

Have been traveling a lot and am wondering if anything new and unique (i.e. not a chain) has sprung up in South Austin west of 35...I'm open to any cuisine as long as it's delicious. Anyone have any recommendations?

ok, i'll give you something new, but not so unique, but not really a chain, though.
Senor Buddy's. It seems the Curra's folks have opened a small taco bar in Buddy's corner store, which is right on 290 and circle drive (right where you turn to go to Austin Zoo).
We only had breakfast tacos to go, but they were all good. We had pretty standard stuff, bacon egg & potato, egg & chorizo, egg & machacado. I noticed that they had fish tacos, and some other kinds on the blackboard for lunch, but since they just opened they didn't have a to-go menu.
I talked to somebody, either an owner or manager and he said they were working on a beer garden which should be ready in June.
BTW, they aren't open on Sunday for food.

Thanks! I am always searching for the best breakfast taco, so I'll try this out. Love that it's a taco shack in a corner store...so Austin. Hoping for some new blood down here!
