Meat AND Fish Place for a Celebration

azleah Mar 18, 2008 04:55 PM

Hope someone can help me out. My husband's birthday is the same as his brother's anniversary. Husband is a meat lover. BIL probably won't eat meat on Good Friday. Is there somewhere that has a great steak and a couple of great fish choices? He likes the steak at The Lodge, but have never tried the fish. We are in the Valley, but can pretty much go anywhere for a great meal. For the first time in my life, let me say, "Money is no option." Thanks so much!!

Maybe the Grill on the Alley in Beverly Hills would be a good choice.

Jar doesn't have seafood / fish items.

They have salmon listed on their menu.

Indeed they do. I stand corrected.

You're right though. I thought they offered more. My bad.

Jar always has a couple of fish specials as well--when I was in this week, they were barramundi and a scallop dish.

It may be a little late to get a table but I think the best choice is Mistral on Ventura in Sherman Oaks. The only drawbck to Mistral is that it can get a bit noisy as it can in any bistro. Great food, expensive but not overpriced. Great wait staff and a very good wne list.

                  One other potential choice: http://www.commecarestaurant.com/
