Whale's Tail (Oxnard) - thoughts?

Your thoughts on Whale's Tail near Channel Islands in Oxnard? Any recent positive experiences or is it worth skipping? There will be three of us in town tomorrow night and we plan to dine there.

Unfortunately we went, and it wasn't very good. The fish seemed fresh enough, but everything on the plate had little to no seasoning. We won't be back, and I would not recommend it.

I know one couple in their 80s from L.A. who like it for an early dinner when they are in Oxnard. They said that the fish is fresh and delicious, and that it is kind of a lively place. I personally don't know, but I've been okay with their recommendations in the past.

Pass. Went there once. Drove up from L.A.. Got there too late for Sunday brunch. Asked what was available and was told the 'ham' sandwiches are okay.

Drive a short distance more and eat at Brophy Bros. Which recently opened in the Ventura harbor across from Andrea's.
