I went here last night and had what might have been the best burger of my life. It was late (9:30) and I had been drinking a little (its st. pats!) so I'm wondering if it was good because chefburger is really worth the $9 for a hamburger, or if it was good because I was starving and drunk. Anyone else had an experience here?
First of all, see this thread: http://www.chowhound.com/topics/465246
Second, I went last weekend and loved it. Had the BBQ Bacon Blue Cheese Burger, and it was awesome. The milkshakes were great, although I was a little disappointed with the fries.
I think the meat was very good, and while some are complaining about the size, it probably the portion that we are supposed to be eating rather than the supersized burgers you find elsewhere.
They weren't doing customized burgers bc of the tournament, but I can't wait to get in there and create my own.
As I said on the other thread. This is the best burger going in Kansas City right now. The second best burger I have ever had (next to the now defucnt Kabal's that was in the River Market area). I got the onion rings and found them to be a bit pedestrian but even then they were pretty good. I didn't get the milkshake this go around but I will get one the next time I go. Like lwoerther I haven't been able to stop thinking about that hamburger and I have been telling everybody about it ad nauseum.
Next time I go I am getting my burger plain with cheese and putting ketchup on it (this is my favorite way to eat a burger ) cooked medium rare.
