how good is uncle sam's cereal ya'll?

found this stuff in my local korean deli: $2.89 for 10oz of high fiber and low sugar goodness. super crunchy, very plain, and the best part is, each flake is made up of one whole grain of wheat. you have to see it to believe it. comes with flaxseed, its very hearty, and excellent when mixed with fruit or yogurt.

They also make it with freeze dried berries - super yum! I always have a box or 2 around for breakfast or mixed into yogurt.

I love this stuff, but my husband and friends just do not see the appeal! I like it with a little vanilla soy milk and fruit.

found it at Whole Foods for $2.19 a box! crazy cheap and still delicious. I eat it with overripe peaches, nectarines, whatever fruit is in season. yum!

I ate this for several years as my only cereal. I've now found another cereal I like even better: Organic Flax Plus Multibran Cereal. For me, either cereal tastes great and is healthy. You gotta have your fiber!

It is the ONLY cereal I eat now. It is loaded with flax seeds, although I recently heard your body can't digest flax seeds and benefit from them unless they are ground! I recieved a free box of them a year ago and now I buy them 2 boxes at a time. They are very crunchy and healthier than anything else out there. I think they are also high in fiber. By the way- that was a great price- I pay well over $3.25 a box for mine.

ya that is the eternal debate: whole or ground. good thing I alternate my breakfasts with either uncle sam, or oatmeal mixed with trader joe's toasted ground flaxseed with blueberries. I figure I can cover both bases that way.
