Sibling Rivalry for Restaurant week
Thinking of going there sometime this week. Anyone have any feedback about it? I never been and whenever I walk by it is always busy...

Lots of people don't like this restaurant but I went last summer during RW week and they had a huge selection, so many that I didn't think we had the RW menu. Can't remember specifics but it was good overall except for a little lagging in service (we were eating outside that nite).

I went for my brother's birthday dinner in September. The menu is gimmicky and a little confusing to read. The service was fine. I ordered the duck as an entree and it was really delicious. The skin was nice and crispy. The desserts were not worth ordering. I can't remember what I ordered but that's saying something. If I love a dessert I'll remember every detail of it. Overall I would say give it a shot but skip the dessert... oh its RW I guess you can't. Well, at least its a deal.

One of my co-workers went last night to SR and LOVED it. Service, food the whole thing. I have been there myself, sat at the bar and cannot complain.

I've never been there for RW, but on the regular menu their tuna tartare is my favorite in the city. I personally like eating either at the bar or at the little bar over looking the kitchen in action.

I went on Friday evening and really enjoyed it. We had to wait about 15 minutes for our table to be ready and had a drink at the bar. The cocktail I had - the
Alegria (lemon and lime juice and a brazilian tequila/rum that I can't remember the name of) was great. Very tasty and refreshing. I had the Vietnamese squid to start. Although the breading was a bit thick for my taste, the vinegar-based dipping sauce and accompanying slaw were wonderful. I then had the Haddock which was fabulous. It came with some sort of leek sauce, a mushroom jus and a side wild mushrooms. It was a tad salty - which was fine for me as I'm a bit of a salt addict - but might be too much for others. I also tried the skirt steak which was perfectly cooked and a very generous portion. Dessert was chocolate mousse, which was appropriately rich and chocolatey. I'm not a big dessert person so I don't have much else to say about it. I choose not to do the wine pairings, but had a nice glass of Zinfindel with my meal.

i went last week during restaurant week (thursday i think) with one girlfriend. we both thought it was fine, but not great. we both had a salad to start and i cant remember the specifics but among other things, hers had hearts of palm and mine had avocado. we both had the salmon which came out somewhat dry and was served with a citrus salad and chickpea sticks, which were also dry and somewhat bland. we both got the chocolate mousse, definitely the highlight of the meal. so all in all, it was fine but nothing special.

I went on Monday for RW with a friend. We both enjoyed it a lot. I also liked that they were only serving the RW menu. Our reservation was at 5:30 and the place was packed and the server said they were packed all week long. Food and service were excellent, we had the wine flight with the meals, which were paired well. Highly recommend going here!!
