So I am seriously addicted to the rice cakes with palm sugar at Sri-Pra-Phai... problem is, I live over an hour away from there, so it is a hassle to get them. Is there anyplace in Brooklyn that makes these wonderful things or maybe something similar?

You might try some of the chinese bakeries on 8th avenue - some of them offer sticky rice cake with red bean or chopped up peanut and sugar inside - with shredded coconut on the surface. those fried glutinous rice balls with red bean inside and sesame seeds on the surface are also pretty good.

At Ba Xuyen, they have a range of interesting SE asian desserts, including some with palm sugar or pandan. Not the same stuff as sriprapai but in the same spectrum.
