It seems its been awhile since there were any OKINOMIYAKI postings. My out of state college son tasted it & reported it to be the most delicious thing he had ever tasted. I searched the blogs & it seems hardly anyone serves that in L.A. Metro. area or the Valley. I understand Haru Ulala serves it, but they are closed Sundays, which is the only time I can get from the Valley to Japan Town. Where can I find this (I imagiane)
glorious dish available also on Sundays? If not, anywhere in the Valley or downtown L.A. at all? --JET

Raku has 2 locations (little Tokyo, in Honda Plaza & West LA, near Pico & Barrington). I've been to the West LA location only. They serve excellent okonomiyaki & are indeed open Sundays.

    Raku (West LA)
    11678 W. Olympic Bl.
    LA,CA
    (310) 478-3090

As for Downtown LA, try the Little Tokyo Raku for me and let me know!

      Hi, Jet!
Gaja in Lomita is open Sundays for dinner only: 5-10pm. They specialize in Okinomiyaki -- many kinds and very good! This is a very casual cafe.

      Gaja
      2383 Lomita Blvd. #102
      Lomita
      #310.534-0153

If open (and I am not sure about Sundays), be sure to go next door for dessert and coffee/tea!
