Cheap Good Fresh Fish Place in Downtown LA

I am trying to remember the name and location of a great little fish place just east of Downtown. For lunch it sells great fresh grilled fresh fish and also deep fried shrimp, clams, etc. There is also a small fish market at the same location. It's usually packed with a long, but quick moving line at lunch time. Any hints would be great. I haven't been there in years, but I'd love to head over there today for lunch, and I'd recommend their fresh fish to anyone. Thanks!

  1. It's called the California Fisherman's Outlet, on Central. Take 101 and exit Alameda towards Little Tokyo. When you hit Central, make a right and it'll be there on your left. I love this place for lunch even though it's hella crowded. All walks of life there. Great grilled fresh fish and huge prawns too (but I'm not a fan of their fried fish or fries.) Next time though, I'm trying the lobster and ceviche. I saw families buying cups and cups of ceviche so it must be tasty!
