Marshmallow Peeps in Quebec?

You know, I probably shouldn't even go here after the zeppole marathon but....

Anyone know if we can get these in Montreal?

There are also some very amusing threads about Peeps on the General Chowhound Topics, including this one. The Peep dioramas are very funny.

Don't know if I'd eat more than one, but it might be fun to do some microwave experiments on them.

We are heading up to Montreal on Easter Weekend, and already have 3 packs open and getting "Stale" as we speak. Say the word and I will be happy to deliver the fine little things.

A kind offer.... but I am heading to Toronto to eat non-stop all week, and it includes Easter Weekend! Well, after all the Zeppole I ate this weekend, Peeps probably are a bad idea anyhow...

I saw marshmallow peep-like things at Pharmaprix a couple of days ago. I'm not sure if they're actually the Peeps brand. I'll have to double check.

Hmmm, fake Peeps? Fake versions of fake marshmallow product with fake food colouring? I'm game....

Believe it or not, Dollarama has cases of them (and they seem to be from this year as well... ;-))

Thank you Davidpg! I found them at the Dollarama on Parc, just as you said. They seem very soft and fresh, and as soon as I recover from my hot chocolate, i shall start the microwave experiments! They have the yellow chicks and the pink bunnies. They are as crazy looking as I thought!

Saw peeps at the Pharmaprix on Sherbrooke, near West Hill (just East of Cavendish).

Why do we want to try those creepy yellow chicks??

Just came back from Zellers (in Boisbriand) at lunch time and they have the Peeps yellow chicks in stock.
Was tempted to taste what all the fuss was about but figured that the high sugar content was not worth the extra calories...

Get enough, and you have your very own Peep show: http://icanhascheezburger.files.wordp...

In case you didnt get enough of those little mush chicks, there was a recipe I found for chocolate fondu using peeps as the dipper. Better take some chill pills after all that sugar.

Well, after trying these little things, I have come to the conclusion that they are terrible fresh, and much better stale. So I am letting the rest get stale, and plan to eat a few, and maybe make a diorama of the rest of them. Perhaps some kind of food theme? Any suggestions? I'm thinking horrified yellow chicken peeps being served an omelette by an evil looking pink rabbit peep.

You should make an Iron Peep America diorama!

Very tempting. But I would probably do the original Japanese Iron Peep first. And conveniently, the chickens are yellow. Very authentic.

Just case you haven't seen this thread already... you're not alone in preferring them stale! And more ideas/links on what to do with Peeps besides eating them. Who knew?

I'm thinking we should bring a bunch to Martin Picard. I'll bet the sweet marshmallow would be a nice foil to fois gras, and I figure, if anyone can make it happen, it would be him.

OK, this just keeps getting weirder and weirder. In case you haven't seen it:

I'd never even heard of these things before, and now I'm seeing them everywhere. And doing some very strange things. ;-)

                        Diorama, shmiorama.

                        Dessert kimchi!

I am trying to imagine making kimchi out of Peeps, and the thought of fermented chile flavoured marshmallows is kinda freaking me out. I'll make it on the condition you promise to eat the whole batch and let me video tape it for Youtube.
