Suggestions for B-day Dinner in Vegas

Hello All:
I'm trying to organize a celebration dinner for son who's turning 21 in June. He's a major carnivore but also loves Italian food too. Heck -- let's be honest here, the boy just loves to eat.

We've been poring over restaurant descriptions and sample menus from the many hotels on the strip. I've also heard wonderful things about Nob Hill, Fiamma Trattoria & Bar and L'Atelier. But so far, his list includes:
Luxor Steak House
Craftsteak
Shibuya
SeaBlue
StripSteak
Aureole
Trattoria del Lupo

We're inviting family from all over -- so far the group is around 12, mostly adults but there will be 3 teens and a couple of young ones in the party (ages 8 and 10). I sure could use some suggestions and input.

I am a big fan of Craftsteak...that is where I spend my birthday every year. I also like Fiamma, and I agree that you can get a pretty good steak there as well. I also enjoy the steak at Stack in the Mirage.

I was surprised to see Shibuya on the list. It doesn't fit the steak or pasta thing, but I think it 's the best Sushi on the Strip and I don't see it mentioned much on here. Happy Birthday!!

This one's easy. If he'd rather have more of a steakhouse type of dinner - Craftsteak. If he would rather have more of an Italian style dinner - Fiamma. Both are great at what they do and are across the hall from one another in the MGM. You can't go wrong with either choice. The upside of Fiamma is that he can still get a steak ( they usually have one on the menu ) along with some nice pastas - make sure to have the short rib raviolini. The young ones are always something to consider but both places should definitely accommodate you.

Hmmm. Steakhouse and Italian. Sounds like Carnevino at the Palazzo fits that bill. I haven't been there yet, but perhaps some CHers can chime in on it. It's the Mario Batalli Italian Steakhouse. If you go to the Palazzo website, you can take a look at the menu.
