Mission Beach Cafe

I like this place. Coffee is blue bottle and breakfast pastries amazing (former Chow baker or owner?), Irony in art...photos of the real Mission while it is definitely pricey/yuppiesh...but as they say on what white people like website, expensive sandwiches are yummy. Grass fed hamburgers ranked up with Zuni, according to my meat eating friend. Salads fresh and delicious and interesting. What's the word?

    1. The pastries are the reason I go there. Ginger blueberry muffins, dainty puff pastry, canneles, cookies. I haven't had good luck with the coffee, so I'm more likely to head to BB in Hayes Valley.

It is a beautiful welcoming space, and the people who work there especially the baker couldn't be nicer. Not fond of Zuni, and the burger I had at Mission Beach was fine but not what I wanted for brunch.

Which salads do you recommend, so I can branch out from the pastry case?
