Dinner for One in Downtown Minneapolis

Going to be in Minneapolis for the first time on a business trip. Would love to experience the great food Minneapolis has to offer. Hoping some of you foodies out there can recommend good restaurants for dinner near the Marquette Hotel In Downtown Minneapolis. I'll be dining solo & my expense account is limited so I prefer a casual setting, reasonably priced ($25-30 per person) with really good food. I don't have a car, so somewhere within taxi distance or short walking distance from 6th & Marquette.

Thanks!

Last time I was in Minneapolis I had a great meal at Bank and an amazing breakfast at Hell's Kitchen.

I hope you have a great time. Minneapolis is one of my very favorite cities!!!

In addition to 112, consider Solera (tapas), Mission American Kitchen (American), Masa (upscale Mexican), Cafe Lurcat (various influences), or even Joe's Garage (American) in downtown. Nearby in Northeast Minneapolis, an easy cab ride away, are Fugaise and Restaurant Alma. These are just a few, off the top of my head.

All of these can be dined at for 25-30 dollars depending on how you choose, but I don't drink wine usually, so that may change things for you. I also dined alone at all of these places, but then again I never cared about dining alone even at nice places. I get used to it when traveling.

Welcome-- I hope you enjoy Chowing here!!

112, at the bar, would be my choice. tiny place, but you can often get a spot, particularly if you arrive early. one of the town's best, if not the best right now-- and you can even eat within your stated budget.
