Great Hanger Steak Frites

As most of you are aware, I love Lunaria Restaurant in Century City. Something that puzzled me was the Hanger Steak. It is always listed as tender. I have had it twice before and it was far from tender but always flavorful. Last night I went again and instead of ordering my usual Fish Soup and Veal Stew I ordered the Price Fix menu and got an Egg Plant and Bell Pepper salad and then the Hanger Steak Frites. The steak was really tender and beefy and the fries were also very good. The Apple Tart was excellent as well as the Vanilla Bean Iced Cream. The 3 course meal is $22.00 before 7:00 (we arrived at 6:55). I also found a steal on a bottle of red wine that was excellent. I won't mention which one as there are only 2 bottles left but our waiter was quite surprised that it actually was the year that was printed on the wine list at the price listed. I guess this is probably my 30th great meal here.

Hanger steak is not known for being tender; flavorful it is.
