Has anyone been to Chocolate Salon?

The second annual chocolate salon is coming up at Fort Mason in April.

It's a fundraiser. All things chocolate.

I would appreciate the scoop from anyone who attended last year.

Was it worth it? Can you eat as much as you want? Do the participants present items in the same size as their retail outlets or is everything cut into little pieces? Did they run out of everything early?

Some of the major players in SF Chocolate are missing, and some of participants seem like odd choices (Trader Joes?).

For $20, it would be worth it if I could sample one of each of the chocolates made by Charlie Elbow.

Here's a link with a bit of discussion:

It was worth the money. There was more chocolate than anyone could possibly eat without becoming ill. Some were cut into little pieces and some were full size. Arriving early is a great idea.

I'd definitely focus on chocolates of interest to you. I agree that there's no reason to bother with inexpensive chocolate from TJs in this setting.
