Soup Dumplings in Phoenix?

This might be a long shot, but does anyone know of a place in the Phoenix metro area that serves xiao long bao?

Actually Lao Ching Hing in the Chinese Cultural Center also has XLB. It's on the Chinese menu only. However as Ipsedixit warns, it's not going to compare to what you might have had in LA, SF or NY. Also if you like other types of Chinese dumplings there's Lily Bowl in Gilbert.

Please tell us more about Lily Bowl -- a google search turned up only flower shops. We love Chinese dumplings.

If the location is on West Warner, then it looks like the space is/was(?) occupied by a place called "Wei's Chinese Bistro".

Yes, Lily Bowl did replace an Americanized Chinese restaurant and even continued to use the predecessor's menu (presumably Wei's) too.

Shanghai Palace seems to have it on their menu. I think this is one of the restaurants on the two menu system, though it's the regular menu that seems to list it.

Good luck. Be easier to find an ice maker in the arctic than decent xlb in Phoenix.

You can get some frozen ones at the Ranch Market at COFCO.
