midtownDiner123 Mar 13, 2008 09:03 AM

i'm making a truffle and i need to coat it in chocolate. the recipe calls for white almond bark. i need a solid coating for dipping the truffle and i read although i can use melted chips, the bark is better for this recipe.

what stores sell this product in midtown manhattan?

You might want to try Lilac Chocolates at the market in Grand Central.

        I don't think Li-Lac is too expensive:

thanks. i'm not sure they'll have it but i'll check. to be clear, i'm looking for candy melts - it's called "bark" and it's used for dipping pretzels and such bc it hardens.

but it's not the same as large chunks of chocolate with nuts & such broken into large pieces.
