Naples - Greek food

  • 3

I am having a craving for some good saganaki. Does anyone have an opinion of Greek Gourmet or S'agapo? I have never been to either, and wondering if it is worth my time. I think those are the only 2 we have.

Or...is their a great Greek place in Bonita I should try?

  1. Imo, Zorba's, in Bonita, has better food than either of the places you've mentioned. Check my posts for my review not very long ago. I was there recently and sampled the saganaki, which I enjoyed.

Thanks, I will. Unfortunately no one wants to drive to Bonita tonight so if I hit either of the Naples places I will post back tomorrow and let you know!

P.S. - I just read the post you mentioned and I happen to be from Chicago and miss Halsted street, too!!! It is a 'must-go' everytime I visit home!

    2. Yes, Greek Gourmet! I have recommended it several times on Chowhound. Never thought anyone would specifically ask about it.

DH and I stumbled upon it when we were in Naples. It was so good, we ate there twice in the same trip! Best Greek food anywhere, owned by two Greek guys. The keftedes meatball appetizer, the moussaka, and the green beans are out of this world! We didn't have baklava (we were too full), but it looked awesome too.
