where did the Taylor's thread go?

  • d

I appreciate all the responses I've seen to my post about Taylor's and wanted to post a response of my own but the thread seems to have disappeared. Is this just my computer? Was the discussion considered inappropriate for this site?

  1. Hi, Deborah, by all means go ahead and post your response. We thought we'd given all parties a chance to read/respond. Not all threads make it into our long-term archives, but we incorrectly assumed this one had finished.

Sorry, we didn't mean to step on your ability to respond (or for others to respond to your response). Please go ahead with our apologies.

A thread that I started last week similarly disappeared. Didn't realize that things like that happened here. Don't like it.

Chowhound is a moderated site. We make no commitment whatsoever to publishing or preserving any given posting or thread. That's always been our deal and we're extremely up front about it.

Moderated sites aren't for everyone; moderation rubs some people the wrong way. Some prefer the anarchy of, say, Usenet newsgroups. No site can possibly suit everyone's needs, not even a great one like Chowhound. We hope you'll choose to stay with us and work within our framework, considering that moderation is what makes this Internet discussion unprecedentedly focused and useful as a resource.

This board is for discussing food in LA. Site policy discussions belong on our Site Talk board. We are determined to keep this board chowcentric. Further discussion of site policy here will be deleted. Likewise any other non-food topics (address them to the "Not About Food" board, not here). We all have an interest in preserving the signal-to-noise ratio of this board, and the moderators are committed to ensuring this.

Replies on "Site Talk" only, please.

I would have liked to read about Taylor's and I don't get on the computer every day. I don't need to read about it, though. It's my fave for prime steaks!
