Outer Banks, NC - Which town = Best food?

I am helping my S.O. plan a family vacation to OBX - there are 10 of us, 8 adults/2 kids and their Vacations REVOLVE around food - and really, not much else.
I have some picky eaters (vegi or fish only) and of course - 2 kids (who may or may not join every night)
We have not picked a town/rental yet because we'd like to know What area has the Best food!?

Please help us decide where to stay.

KDH is centrally located, so LBD's advice is spot on. There are many excellent restaurants on the OBX, from Nags Head to Corolla. There are also quite a few that just specialize in quantity. And, it all depends on what you want to eat and how much you want to spend. Good luck! And you can have a great food vacation on the OBX. I've lived (and dined) here for almost 23 years and the food offerings have improved over time.

I'd say Kill Devil Hills, not so much because they have a lock on good food but it's pretty much the halfway mark between Duck and Manteo. Most of the places you'll be going to will probablly be in or between these to towns. Search the board for OBX picks as there are plenty.
