Has anyone tried Sinbad's on Belmont?

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this restaurant.

  1. It's fine. Not terrible, but certainly nothing distinctive.

    1. I go sometimes for a healthy (ish) bite after working out. It is a decent, fairly priced place to grab a bite. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there but if you are in the area, it is not a bad choice.

      1. Sinbad's is really mediocre.

ZAD on Broadway at Barry is fantastic!!! It's in the vicinity.

I second ZAD. They make one the best Shwarma's I've ever had (and I used to live in the Dearborn, MI. area. I know from Shwarma!)

Also try the shwarma at Babylon on Damen just north of Armitage...it's seriously good!!! Many other noteworthy menu items too.

        2. Bleh.. go to sultan's market in Broadway & Deming

Sultan's is decent and maybe a bit overrated. It's been hit or miss lately with the freshness and quality.

            ZAD is consistently very good.

          2. Sinbad's is good value- They give you a lot and it's relatively inexpensive. I like their tabouli, falafel, and kifte kabobs...they opened another outpost not too far away on Clark Street, just north of Century Mall. Even though there is space at both locations, I prefer take-out or delivery.

I'm also a huge fan of ZAD- it's a step up and the best hummus and Shish Taouk Sandwich... The falalfel at ZAD is unremarkable

I agree with the masses. I think it's pretty good, and fairly inexpensive. It didn't blow me away though.
