I just bought some andouille style chicken sausage. Any recipe ideas besides gumbo? I sautéed some last night with potatoes and it was so tasty!
I like making (chicken) sausage and peppers. Mixed with delicious homemade sauce, we can't even tell the difference.
I also slice it and make a sausage, kale, and white bean soup. Not as delicious as with regular sausage or even turkey sausage, but a good use nonetheless.
I haven't tried these with the andouille style, yet, but if the flavor isn't too overwhelming, it should work just fine.
I've used andouille-style chicken sausage in jambalaya as well as sausage and red beans over rice. (Gosh, for a foreigner I sure do cook a lot of Southern food...)
I grill Italian chicken sausage, then slice it and add it to pasta with pesto. One of my favorite quick meals!
