Has anyone else heard about this or attending?

My roommate and I bought tickets awhile ago and are looking forward to it, but wanted to weigh in on the chowhound opinions!

I'm really excited about going - there are a lot of Brooklyn restaurants that I've read about that I am thrilled to be trying this evening (as a Queens girl/Manhattan worker, the furthest that I travel there is into Williamsburg)

I REALLY wanted to go, but I couldn't find anyone who would come with, so I'm forgoing it for now. I don't know what form it will take, whether it will be plates sitting on a table for everyone to take, or in the form of passed hors d'oeuvres, but either way it is a great chance to try a ton of restaurants I haven't had the chance to make it to yet. I will, say, however, that given that it is hosted by the Voice, this could either be a fun and terrific way to broaden your horizons, or a total clusterf*** with chefs running out of food, hipsters crowding tables with obnoxious banter and a line out the door while the hosts scramble to organize.
