Fresh Italian Sausages in Hartford, CT area?

goodbyeohio Mar 10, 2008 11:00 PM

usually, i go to La Rosa marketplace on brown st, hartford for my fresh eye-tie sausages. looking for any other local rec's, as i'm planning to make a large amount of 'sunday gravy' this week and want to switch things up a bit with the meats.

thanks in advance.

Have you tried D & D Market on Franklin Ave? I used to live on the same block, and we always loved their store made products. It's been years since I've been there - guess I'm overdue for a shopping trip.

D&D has a great variety and they are all very good. Also try Bliss Market in Wethersfield. Very good product made in their store.

Try Highland Market - I go to the one in Farmington (Main Street/Rte 10) & get the pesto sausage (links & patties). All the flavors are good but pesto is fantastic.

You might try the pesto sausage patties on the grill and top with a large grilled portabella mushroom cap ....need I say more?

I have to agree with the D&D suggestion. They have mild to extra hot - delicious!
