Good eats near Marriott Desert Ridge?

Is there a fun place nearby (5-10 min drive from Pinnacle Peak near 56th) where 3 adults could have a civilized non-steakhouse dinner and good wine? Or are we better off just eating at one of the resort venues - Roy's, Tuscany's, Blue Sage. Not looking for club or music, just good food. Thanks!

I actually liked Malee's Thai Bistro in Desert Ridge (you could walk there). They have varied menu (including sushi - which I didn't try, but hear good things about).

They are the type of place to have good drinks, and wine (but didn't try, as we were there on a business lunch). Had a special on the board of a Pomegranate Martini, which sounded wonderful to me.

Otherwise, DC Ranch is relatively close, and many of the restaurants there are upscale, with good wine lists.

You won't be far from Sol y Sambra @ DC Ranch - a 10 minute drive.

I would try Kierland Commons area, Zinc Bistro is there, rated #1 French Bistro in Valley. I love their Steak Frites. Greene House is next door, good eats also.
