I'm completely disgusted by this recipe entry, and the comments associated with it. I can't believe Chowhound would allow it.

I reported this entry a couple times. This kind of stuff lowers CH's reliability as a quality site.

Yes, I reported this as well. It's really unfortunate that the reference to violence to women is being allowed to stand.

It's a real shame that the reputation and goodwill earned by Chowhound over the years is allowed to be ground to garbage by the Chow side of the house tolerating this crap. There really is a distinction between presenting a web site experience that is "edgy and au courant" and giving a home to the lowest common denominator of social misfit.

i hate censorship, but gangstaghetti is wrong. as my old barback would say, "that's tore." i don't mean that's it's "tore" in any sort of positive or progressive way. chowhound has really impressed me in lots of ways in regards to community policing lately, and this entry's existence would seem to contradict the direction the site is going. it's more offensive than any other post or statement i've seen here, and far more dangerous because the format of this "recipe" does not allow for open discussion on the rest of the boards-- the community can't respond, except protesting it here.

I agree, maybe we should ban Alexalligator's account, I think he is on Chow just to piss people off with really lousy "hood cooking"
