Inexpensive brunch place for 8 people?

Hi All. I have friends coming in from out of town and want to take them a great brunch place. Don't want to ask them to spend to much (entrees around 10-15 max) and need a place that takes reservations. I was thinking Josie's on the UWS but am not quite sold on that idea. Any good suggestions? Thank you!

  1. definitely barney greengrass on uws...a new york classic

    1. I just had the most delicious Sunday brunch at the Corner Cafe & Bakery on 92nd and Third. It's the old Yura, and actually the menu is the same, not sure what changed here. Anyway, a very generous omlette served with a muffin and a scoop of mashed potatoes was $7.95. I had the French toast style bread pudding with warm maple syrup ($7.95)...a perfect choice if you want something warm, sweet and comforting for breakfast. It's a quintessential NYC, busy, bustling, weekend brunch spot. I saw very large parties being seated before and after me, not sure about the reservation situation as we waited in line.
