Not a first hand report as I haven't been recently but my husband had a business lunch at Pacifico yesterday during restaurant week and said the food was exceptionally good. His colleague from Chile agreed.

What is it? Where is it? The Metro Region is pretty big and I never heard of it.

It's in Port Chester. Not one of my favorites, but I haven't been lately. It's latin style.

It seemed to be 'the' place to be for awhile. I'm not especially fond of either Sonora or Pacifico, too hip and trendy for me, but I know many others like them. I haven't been to either one lately.

While I might share the comments above on the character of Sonora, I might remind evreryone that the reason to go there is the food. I haven't been there in a while but I did go for restaurant week. Everything that was served was amazing with incredible flavor. From appetizer to entree to the chef's signature cheescake was an experience that I would reccomend all to try before restuarant week closes. Of interest, the LoHud restaurant critic has written a report about Sonora during restaurant week and talked about how everyone there the night she attended was so positive about their experience. I couldn't agree more.
