Calgary knife store

alau2 Mar 9, 2008 09:05 PM

Wandered to Inglewood to check out Bite Groceteria and found a knife store in the back! It's run by Kevin Kent, former sous-chef at River Cafe. He's got quite an impressive display of blades and spent a good 10 minutes just chatting to us about knives without caring if we were going to buy. Of course, after we left, my fiance mused, "Well, our knives ARE getting old..."

Kevin said the store had been officially open for two days.

This is definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a beautiful new knife to last you a very long time.

(This is the same guy who runs Knifewear and sharpening services before)

As much as I enjoyed the website, the knives blew me away in real life. Totally worth checking out just as gorgeous objects.

Kevin is awesome, ironically, a very sharp guy. But really, really friendly. The knives are absolutely breathtaking, AND sharp too. My knives he has sharpened are now doing a darn good job. Thanks Kevin!
